Gabrielle and I had a great Sunday evening date at the VanAndel Arena in Grand Rapids with the Newsboys. She was way excited and we had incredible seats. Here is a glimpse into our view of the drum solo.

Big night tonight. One piece at a time...one move at a time...patience...
Pawns can move one space at a time (unless its the first time they have moved, then they can move two), they can move diagonally one space if they are going to take an opposing piece. Pawns can only move forward.
Bishops can move diagonally as many spaces are available.
Knights can move in the shape of an 'L' in a 2 up/down, 1 over pattern (or vice-versa)
Rooks can move straight up and down or left and right as many spaces are available.
The Queen can move in any direction she wants to in one direction as many spaces are available.
The King can move only one space at a time in any direction that is available.
(These were Natalie's words describing to me which how the pieces work.)
